The concerns contrast sharply with what diseases actually kill the most Americans. Only two of the people treated for Ebola in the US have died from the disease. But obesity is linked to more than 110,000 deaths a year, cancer to more than 576,000, diabetes to more than 73,000, and heart disease to more than 596,000.
