Donald Trump Jr. headed up to Capitol Hill for a closed-door interview with Senate Judiciary Committee staffers Thursday, and he was quizzed about the June 2016 meeting he set up with a Russian lawyer in hopes of getting damaging information about Hillary Clinton.

Here, via CNBC’s Christina Wilkie, is Trump Jr.’s full prepared statement for the committee on the matter. Overall, there is little new, and he repeats his story that this one meeting resulted in no interesting information and no subsequent follow-ups. Indeed, he says he gave the meeting “no further thought” afterward.
