The biggest legal threat to the Trump presidency comes from a June 2016 meeting that Donald Trump Jr. held with a Russian lawyer promising dirt on Hillary Clinton, the clearest evidence to date of apparent collusion between Team Trump and the Kremlin.
There were at least eight attendees at the meeting in Trump Tower, which is under investigation by both special counsel Robert Mueller and committees in both the House and the Senate.
To make things worse, as Vox’s Zack Beauchamp writes, Trump Jr.’s explanation for the meeting may well be even more incriminating.
