Join an all-star panel of critics to talk Princess Bride at the next Vox Book Club live event

Join Constance Grady, Soraya McDonald, and Sangeeta Singh-Kurtz live on Zoom.

Constance Grady is a senior correspondent on the Culture team for Vox, where since 2016 she has covered books, publishing, gender, celebrity analysis, and theater.

Because there is a shortage of perfect books in the world, the Vox Book Club has spent June reading The Princess Bride. And on June 25, we’ll cap off our discussion with a live conversation on Zoom, which you (yes, you!) can join. I’ll be there, talking with The Undefeated’s Soraya Nadia McDonald and The Cut’s Sangeeta Singh-Kurtz, two of the smartest and funniest people around.

Soraya is a Pulitzer finalist and the winner of the George Jean Nathan prize for dramatic criticism. She covers culture for The Undefeated, writing about pop culture, theater, fashion, and the arts, and is an all-around brilliant human being. Sangeeta is a senior writer at Vox’s sister site The Cut, where she has covered such topics as whether you are an Aragon girl or a Legolas girl and what Prince William looked like when he had hair. I cannot think of two better people to discuss this frothy, swashbuckling, and loving parody of/tribute to adventure stories with.

Soraya, Sangeeta, and I will be meeting on Zoom on Thursday, June 25, at 5 pm ET. We’ll talk until 5:45 pm, with the last 10 minutes reserved for questions from the audience, and at the end of the event, I’ll reveal our pick for next month’s book. We would love to see you there!
