Here’s how to watch (or stream) Super Bowl 52

Or the Puppy Bowl, if you’d prefer.

One of the biggest days of the year is coming for football fans and for those who pretend to care about sports for a day: the Super Bowl. Super Bowl 52 (or LII, for those who prefer Roman numerals) will be airing on NBC on Sunday, February 4, at 6:30 pm Eastern time, 3:30 pm Pacific time.

In case you’ve missed the news of Philly greasing its lampposts to stop jubilant fans from climbing them: The Philadelphia Eagles will be facing off against the New England Patriots, who are back to the Super Bowl for the eighth time since 2001.

In additional to the usual television broadcast, NBC will be streaming the game to both the NBC and NBC Sports apps for free. The game will be streaming at NBCSports.com, and you can download the app from the Google Play or iTunes store.

Just stay off social media if you don’t want any surprises: Streaming usually lags a couple of seconds behind the real thing. But don’t worry, the online version includes the same commercials.

If you’re only watching the game for the non-football parts, you’ll want to tune in before 6:30 to catch P!nk singing the national anthem and time your snack refills so as not to miss Justin Timberlake performing during halftime.

You can also flip over to Animal Planet during the playing portion, where Puppy Bowl 14 will likely be re-airing. (The live Puppy Bowl is at 3 pm Eastern, following the Kitten Bowl at 1 pm on the Hallmark Channel.)
