The 2017 Golden Globes, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, will be awarded on Sunday, January 8, with the ceremony airing live at 8 pm EST on NBC. With a reputation for being one of the most “fun” shows of awards season due to how early they fall in the season, the presence of alcohol (and thereby tipsy celebrities), and general unpredictability with regard to the winners, they’re usually a pretty good time as far as three-hour awards shows are concerned.
With that in mind, this year’s event looks to be a battle between the Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling movie musical La La Land, which leads the film categories with seven nominations, and Moonlight, which has six nominations.
The Golden Globes also honor television. FX’s critically acclaimed The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story leads the TV categories with five nominations, followed by AMC’s The Night Manager with four.
You’ll find the nominees below. Come back to Vox on Sunday night for our live coverage of the ceremony!
