New music for you: Edna Vazquez plays her song "Psicodélica" at Pickathon's Pumphouse

Once a month (or so), I'm bringing you an episode of the Pickathon Pumphouse Series, filmed in the tiny Pumphouse studio on the grounds of the Pickathon music festival in Happy Valley, Oregon, by Live & Breathing. For more on the festival and the series, see this post.

The Pickathon 2016 final schedule has been announced. You can buy your tickets here.

Today's episode brings a performance from Edna Vazquez, a singer/songwriter raised mainly in the Mexican state of Jalisco before coming to the US at 17. Her songs (mostly in Spanish) mix Latin American and contemporary influences and tend to be fairly spare, centered around her extraordinary voice, at turns velvety and raw.

This song is called "Psicodélica."

Vazquez has two solo albums; you can find them here.
