Watch: The Hamilton Mixtape's concert live stream

The Hamilton Mixtape drops tomorrow. Today, it’s holding a concert to celebrate.

The Hamilton lyric “look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now” can sometimes feel like an ironic taunt, but at 1 pm EST today, it’ll be hard to argue.

Lin-Manuel Miranda has been putting together The Hamilton Mixtape for months now, recruiting Hamilton fans and influences alike to put their own spins on the musical’s numbers. To celebrate its December 2 release, there will be a live-streamed concert of some of the mixtape’s numbers. It appears to be taking place at Hamilton’s Richard Rodgers Theatre, in the spirit of Miranda’s now-retired ticket lottery Ham4Ham concerts.

Several tracks from the Mixtape have dropped already on iTunes and Spotify, including Usher’s “Wait for It,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Quiet Uptown,” Nas and Miranda’s “Wrote My Way Out” collaboration, and a searing “Immigrants (We Get the Job Done)” remix that absolutely refuses to leave my head.

As for the concert, there’s no word yet on which numbers will be performed or which artists will be making a special appearance to kick off the release of the mixtape in person. You will be able to watch whatever happens at the YouTube link embedded above.
