Susannah Locke has been a journalist at the intersection of editorial, design, and technology for 13+ years. While at Vox.com she was tasked with deepening the engagement and loyalty of our website audience. An original member of Vox's staff, Susannah was previously Vox’s Editor of Special Projects, operating across the newsroom to manage priority editorial initiatives. Before that, she was a science reporter at Vox and an editor for five years over at Popular Science. She's also had stints at Scientific American and Discover magazines and once worked as a neuroscientist. She holds a master’s degree in science, health, and environmental journalism from NYU and a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Haverford College.

Susannah is pretty sure that robots will take over someday, and she hopes they'll be nice. She also hopes you’ll check out the story she co-edited about the most important trees protecting the climate, which won an Online Journalism Award in 2020.
