Michael Bluhm is a senior editor at The Signal, where he covers global politics, economics, and authoritarian populism. He was previously the managing editor at the Open Markets Institute, where he also wrote white papers about monopoly and the anti-competitive practices of tech giants. He was a writer and editor for The Daily Star in Lebanon, where he lived for seven years. He wrote his Ph.D. dissertation on Tunisia's Arab Spring revolution. He has taught courses on political science, international relations, the Middle East, and media at The George Washington University, the American University of Beirut, Charles University in Prague, and other schools.
