Jillian Weinberger is Vox’s former deputy editorial director for narrative podcasts. She worked on a range of documentary-style shows and series for The Impact, Today, Explained, and Unexplainable. She has spent most of her career in audio storytelling and live radio, at WNYC, Reveal, and now at Vox, where she helped launch the Impact in 2017. Jillian focuses her reporting on the myriad ways powerful people and interests affect our lives, from public housing in Baltimore, to courtrooms in Oakland and Akron, to family playgroups in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her work has been recognized with awards from the Alliance for Women in Media, the RTDNA, the New York Festivals, and the NABJ. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Jillian lives in Washington, DC.
