Frances Nguyen is a freelance writer and journalist covering politics, culture, and society through the prism of race and identity. She has reported extensively on issues concerning marginalized BIPOC communities, including the lasting legacy of colonialism and US imperialism on Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. She also edits the Women Under Siege section of the Women’s Media Center, which covers sexualized and gendered violence in global contexts. She is currently based in Europe.
