Daniel A. Gross was Vox's deputy science, health, and climate editor in 2020 and 2021. He is now a story editor at The New Yorker. He has also written for The Atlantic, The Guardian, and New York Times Opinion, where his reporting led to the pardon and release of an incarcerated immigrant. He started his career in public radio and he tweets at @ByDanielAGross.
