Delaware results for every midterm race
Barring an enormous surprise in Sen. Tom Carper’s (D) reelection race, Delaware’s congressional contests won’t have major national implications. Both Carper and the state’s sole US House representative, Lisa Blunt Rochester (D), are expected to cruise to reelection.
Where things could get interesting is in the state legislature. In the state Senate, Democrats currently have just a one-vote majority, and half the chamber is on the ballot — so they could either expand that majority or lose it. All the seats in Delaware’s state House, where Democrats have a somewhat bigger majority, are on the ballot too.
President Trump is unpopular in Delaware — he has a less than 40 percent approval rating in the state, according to Morning Consult.
