Vox’s Ezra Klein will interview Melinda Gates at SXSW

The interview will be Sunday, March 11, at 3:30 pm CT. Not in Austin? Watch via live stream.

In a very special live taping of The Ezra Klein Show, Melinda Gates, co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, will join Ezra Klein to talk about the power of philanthropy at South by Southwest this Sunday, March 11, at 3:30 pm CT.

The event is open to the public and is first come, first served. Request your invitation here.

If you’re not in Austin, fear not: The interview will be available to stream on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Ezra’s interview is part of three Vox Media-filled days at SXSW. Our parent company, Vox Media, rented a space at the Belmont that we’re calling the Deep End. It will be packed with live podcasts, musical spotlights, food and drinks selected by Eater, and immersive experiences, like a pop-up game room curated by Polygon.

The Deep End will be bustling with activity from March 9 through 11; you can see the full schedule of events here.

If you’re here for Ezra and Melinda, then here are the details you need:

What: A live taping of The Ezra Klein Show, featuring Melinda Gates, at SXSW

Where: The Belmont (305 W. Sixth St., Austin, TX 78701), or via our live streams on Facebook and Twitter

When: Sunday, March 11, at 3:30 pm CT

The fine print: The Deep End by Vox Media is developed in partnership with Superfly, the creators and producers behind festivals such as Bonnaroo and Outside Lands, and is brought to SXSW 2018 in partnership with Nest, Tempur-Pedic, and Great Clips.
