Watch a teenage Mark Zuckerberg find out he got accepted into Harvard

“Yay.”

Facebook

Thank god for fathers and their video cameras.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is set to give the commencement address at Harvard next week, and on Thursday he posted an absolutely fantastic throwback video that his dad took in what we believe was 2002.

The video shows a young Zuckerberg sitting on his bunkbed, wearing plaid pajama bottoms and nervously opening an email that would confirm his admittance to Harvard.

His celebratory response: “Yay. I got accepted.” His dad had a much better reaction.

My dad took this video when I got accepted to Harvard. Next week I'm going back for commencement to get my degree. #tbt

Zuckerberg never did graduate from Harvard, but I’d say most folks have forgiven him for that. Thursday also marked Facebook’s five-year anniversary as a public company. Zuck, and his dad, still have a lot to celebrate.
