It’s part two of his master plan.

While Tesla continues to struggle to deliver on its promise of manufacturing its mass-market car, the Model 3, the company is unveiling a new line of vehicles: Electric semi trucks.

Elon Musk will unveil the trucks during a livestreamed event on Thursday, November 16, starting at 8 pm PT / 11 pm ET.

The company gave a sneak peek of the truck earlier this year, and again on Tesla’s Facebook page on Wednesday.

Tesla isn’t the only one working on electric trucks. Mercedes-Benz unveiled its own truck in October, and other companies have followed suit.

Tesla is developing the heavy-duty truck, first mentioned in part two of Musk’s master plan, to reduce the cost of cargo transport, according to the eccentric executive.

This is just one in a series of electric vehicles Musk wants to begin developing at Tesla. Eventually, the manufacturer will begin working on buses.

We’ll be updating this post with live video when it becomes available. And stay tuned for our coverage of the Tesla semi truck here and on Recode’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
