The mockumentary-style short is a not-quite-teaser for the next Thor movie, due in 2017.

There were a lot of superheroes in this year’s blockbuster “Captain America: Civil War,” but fans of the “Avengers” series might have noticed two big ones were missing: Thor and Hulk.

Today, Marvel released to the public a short mockumentary video, originally produced for San Diego Comic-Con, explaining what the characters have been up to:

The actual reason for their absence is that actors Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo are off making “Thor: Ragnarok,” an “intergalactic buddy road movie” slated for release in November 2017.

In the video, Thor pals around with his new “average, everyday” flatmate Darryl Jacobson, attempts to get in touch with the feuding Iron Man and Captain America, and throws in some light allusions to the Marvel movies.

“Fury!” he says, referring to a crude picture of character Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson. “What does he really know? And is Fury his real name, or is it actually pronounced ‘Furry’?”
