Verizon said Tuesday it has hired Ronan Dunne, formerly head of Telefonica’s British unit, to run its wireless business.
Dunne will serve as president of Verizon Wireless, a new position, reporting to Verizon executive VP John Stratton.
The move comes as Verizon is looking to reshape itself with the acquisition of Yahoo as well as two recent expansions in the in-car electronics space.
