In another sign that Google is getting serious about its enterprise business, the search company has hired Sam Schillace to run engineering for its cloud operations.

Schillace was an engineering director at Google from 2006 to 2010, before jumping to cloud-storage company Box in 2012, where he was SVP. Last month, Google hired a new chief for sales across its enterprise division, which is trying to catch up to Microsoft and Amazon.

Bloomberg first reported the news. A Google rep confirmed it.

Box reports earnings on Wednesday.
