Tituss Burgess launches his own line of pinot noir, smoke a cigar, revenge can be spectacu-lar

Constance Grady is a senior correspondent on the Culture team for Vox, where since 2016 she has covered books, publishing, gender, celebrity analysis, and theater.

Caviar, Myanmar, midsize car. Today in fantastic celebrity side businesses: Tituss Burgess, who plays Kimmy’s roommate Titus on Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, is launching his own brand of pinot noir. The actor stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday night, sporting a fantastic pink plaid tie, to share a bottle with Seth.

"How much work did you put into making this pinot noir?" Meyers inquired, pouring a glass.

"None at all," Burgess confirmed.

Burgess said he's happy with how Pinot Noir by Tituss turned out, but his Kimmy Schmidt co-star Carol Kane has a different opinion. After she had her first sip, she apparently slapped Burgess across the face.

That’s one way to find out who your true friends are. Pinot noir!
