On Monday, Netflix dropped the trailer for the second season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, its colorful, cheeky sitcom starring Ellie Kemper as the titular character — an ex-doomsday cult member finding her way in the big city.
The trailer reveals that in season two, Kimmy gets a job at a year-round Christmas store, which makes all kinds of sense and will allow Kemper to lean into Kimmy's manic earnestness. Having Kimmy in a Christmas store for a whole season of episodes could potentially be overkill, but her friends are back too.
Mrs. Voorhees (Jane Krakowski) is in the midst of trying to maximize her earnings from a divorce. Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess) is giving Kimmy life advice about men and … his doll collection. And one of her fellow doomsday wives is joining the party and doing some drugs with an Elmo street performer in Times Square (yes, that really happens).
It's all part of Kimmy's "choose your own adventure" this season.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season two will hit Netflix on April 15.
