Donald Trump is done with “Hamilton.”
For the second straight day, President-elect Trump has taken to Twitter to complain about the Broadway musical after its cast delivered a public message to VP-elect Mike Pence Friday night that Trump didn’t appreciate. On Saturday, Trump demanded the cast apologize; on Sunday he said “Hamilton” was “overrated.”
In case you’re suddenly interested in what “Hamilton” is all about, here’s Recode’s podcast with producer Jeffrey Seller, who helped write the message that was delivered to Pence Friday night.
“Our cast could barely go on stage the day after the election. The election was painful and crushing to all of us here,” Seller told the New York Times. “We all struggled with what was the appropriate and respectful and proper response.”
