HTC said on Tuesday that it plans to launch its latest smartphone on Oct. 20, a model that leaked photos suggest will look a lot like Apple’s iPhone.
The struggling Taiwanese phone maker plans to do a livestream presentation on the Web rather than host a physical event.
“On Oct. 20 we will introduce our newest HTC One smartphone,” the company said in an invitation to reporters. “This is not your traditional smartphone so we aren’t hosting a traditional launch event.”
The invitation said “Meet the new Marshmallow” from HTC, so it appears the phone will be running Google’s latest flavor of Android.
