Watch live: Vladimir Putin's first UN General Assembly speech since 2005

Russian President Vladimir Putin is giving his first address to the annual United Nations General Assembly since 2005. Watch a live stream of the speech above.

Putin's speech is expected to focus on Syria, where Russia has just sent a small intervention force, and to criticize the US and other Western countries. Putin follows President Obama, whose speech this morning was harshly critical of Putin and Russian actions abroad.

The above video is a running live stream of the General Assembly that will continue after Putin's speech.
