Here's Tinder's full, epic Twitter meltdown

Zack Beauchamp is a senior correspondent at Vox, where he covers ideology and challenges to democracy, both at home and abroad. Before coming to Vox in 2014, he edited TP Ideas, a section of Think Progress devoted to the ideas shaping our political world.

On Tuesday night, Tinder's Twitter account sent a series of bizarre, defensive tweets in response to a critical Vanity Fair article by Nancy Jo Sales. The story, which discussed the app's role in modern dating, portrayed Tinder users as often shallow, sex-obsessed jerks.

Tinder's lengthy, rambling tweets in response included cringeworthy hashtags such as #GenerationTinder and a difficult-to-believe reference to "North Korean users." The whole rant, hundreds of words long, is pretty bad. Here's the entire thing. I think I speak for all of us when I say that the lesson here, as always, is never tweet.
