Verizon Adds Vice to Upcoming Video Service

Peter Kafka covers media and technology, and their intersection, at Vox. Many of his stories can be found in his Kafka on Media newsletter, and he also hosts the Recode Media podcast.

Verizon’s planned video service, which the telco says it will launch this year, will include programming from Vice. Verizon says it will offer some Vice content available on other platforms, as well as “original domestic and international programming” created specifically for Verizon. Verizon has previously announced programming deals with CBS Sports, Scripps and AwesomenessTV, but hasn’t provided a launch date, pricing or other details for the upcoming service.
