The Supreme Court's decision means marriage equality is now the law of the land in the entire United States. And the justices' legal argument for its ruling is actually really well-summarized in that one paragraph: that the Constitution grants same-sex couples equal rights when it comes to formalizing a "love that may even endure past death."
