Apple Watches finally started landing in mailboxes on Friday and pictures, videos, personal essays and more almost immediately began surfacing on social media.
Right out of the gate, one user noticed a familiar shape in the Apple Watch container:

MSNBC host Chris Hayes proclaimed his unconditional love for the new wearable:

IFixit, a gadget repair site that films “teardowns” of tech products, already posted their full Apple Watch report as well. If you’re into that sort of thing, you can watch the video below.
The critical takeaway? The Apple Watch is really hard to upgrade, meaning current or soon-to-be owners may have to buy another one within a few years.
Slack’s Matt Haughey wrote a pretty funny and smart Medium essay about his first day with the Apple Watch. He wants Apple to change the interface so it doesn’t constantly remind him of his estranged father’s secret wedding to his nurse — and who wouldn’t? But on the whole, he thinks it’ll be a great product, if one that will take a bit of time to get used to.
