- Apple will offer HBO Now starting in April on Apple TV, iPhones, and iPads, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced on Monday.
- HBO Now will cost $14.99 a month, but the first month will be free.
- Unlike HBO Go, HBO Now won't require any sort of cable service — just the online subscription. Initially, it will be exclusive to Apple in the US.
- Cook pointed to shows like The Sopranos, Entourage, Veep, and Game of Thrones as examples of shows that will be available on HBO Now.
- Apple TV's price is being cut from $99 to $69.
