Apple Event Numbers: Big iPhone Sales With Over 700 Million Sold

What’s an Apple event without some superlative stats?

Apple CEO Tim Cook brought out some impressive numbers about iPhone sales and Apple Pay’s growth, reaffirming Apple’s dominance in smartphones and its growing impact on mobile payments.

On iPhones, he said the company has now sold over 700 million iPhones since the product’s launch in June 2007. The device has a 99 percent customer satisfaction rate, and it was the number-one-selling smartphone globally last quarter.
