Gracenote, the Tribune Media-owned company that provides data for digital video and music services, has hired industry veteran Ethan Kaplan to run its music unit. Kaplan had spent the last three years heading up product for Live Nation’s Live Nation Labs group; prior to that, he had been an executive at Warner Music Group and Warner Bros. Records. Kaplan replaces Eric Allen, who is leaving the company.
