Sam Smith is bad at losing. Here’s the face he makes when it happens.

When the Grammys come to an end tonight, there will more losers than winners. And because these losers are musicians and recording artists, instead of the actors who might be up for prizes at the Emmys or Oscars, you get moments where these people react in a way that normal humans do when they lose.

Those that have been here before, know the drill (see: Taylor Swift). But newbies still aren't that polished. One of these artists is Sam Smith, who was just really bad at faking happiness in the face of defeat at the hands of Pharrell:

Compare Smith's frown and disappointment to Taylor Swift's enthusiastic "happiness."

But considering Smith's wins (Pop Vocal and Best New Artist), it's unclear if we will see any more of Sam's delicious defeat faces.

Update: Smith lost to Beck in the Best Album category. Beyoncé is better than Sam Smith at faking happiness and smiling through the pain.
