Latino Video Network Mitu Raises $15 Million

Peter Kafka covers media and technology, and their intersection, at Vox. Many of his stories can be found in his Kafka on Media newsletter, and he also hosts the Recode Media podcast.

Mitu Inc, a Latino-based Web video company, has raised $15 million in a round led by previous investor Upfront Ventures; new investors include Daher Capital, Northgate Ventures and AMC Networks Inc. The company, which says it generates 700 million video views a month, had previously raised $13 million, including a $10 million round last spring.
