Apple will hold an event March 9 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco where it is expected to launch the Apple Watch.
The media alert, featuring the headline “Spring Forward,” hints broadly that this is all about timepieces. Apple has said its first wearable device will be available in April.
Whether the timepiece will be a hit is anyone’s guess, but Apple has already shown it has impeccable timing.
The event’s announcement comes as the entire mobile industry gears up for next week’s Mobile World Congress, with Apple once again ensuring it will be the talk of the show even without setting foot in Barcelona.
Until then, this video will be the closest President Obama and others will get to the actual watch.
This post has been updated to correct the location of the event.
