You Won't Be Able to Use Your AOL ID to Access iTunes for Much Longer

You’ve got mail — but that AOL screen name you’ve been using since the early days of the Internet will no longer work to access Apple’s digital stores. Apple said Monday it will no longer allow customers to use their AOL user names to access the iTunes Store, App Store or iBooks Store. Customers have until March 31 to convert their accounts to an Apple ID. A support document describes the details of the change, first reported by 9to5Mac.
