Watch Apple’s New Oscars-Inspired iPad Ad

The ad, which highlights the ability to create films using the iPad, will debut on TV during the Oscars.

Apple unveiled its newest iPad commercial Sunday just a few hours ahead of the Oscars, during which it will debut on live TV.

The new commercial, which closes with the tagline “Everything Changes With iPad,” highlights the ability to record, edit and produce films using the device. You can watch the new spot on Apple’s website, or at the bottom of this post.

The commercial includes a voiceover by Hollywood director Martin Scorsese, who has been nominated for a dozen Oscars himself.

“Painters, dancers, actors, writers, filmmakers, it’s the same for all of you, all of us,” he says. “Every step is a first step, every brush stroke is a test, every scene is a lesson, every shot is a school. So, let the learning continue.”

Apple actually teamed up with students from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts to make the video. Like the company’s iPad commercial that aired during the Grammys, Sunday’s “Make a Film With iPad” commercial was also shot exclusively on — you guessed it — the iPad Air 2.
