Friday evening, a number of shootings and explosions were reported in Paris. This map shows the location of each confirmed incident, and below is a brief description of what's currently believed to have happened at each:

  1. Stade de France: Multiple explosions were reported near the stadium, which was hosting a France-Germany soccer match at the time. Preliminary reports suggest grenades and/or possibly a suicide bomber were involved, but that is not confirmed.
  2. Bataclan: Armed attackers stormed the concert venue during an Eagles of Death Metal concert. According to French sources, gunmen remain there with about 100 hostages.
  3. Rue Bishat: Gunmen fired on a local restaurant.
  4. Rue de Charonne: This was the location of the third shooting; Le Figaro reports that a gunman fired bursts and single shots from a car on people there.
