CES Snapshot: Lenovo's Selfie Flash Brightens Smiles

It’s an accessory that Kim Kardashian West would probably love — or anyone obsessed with taking selfies, for that matter. I’m talking about Lenovo’s new Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash.

Designed to fix the poor performance of today’s front-facing smartphone cameras, the Selfie Flash plugs into your handset’s headphone jack and emits a steady stream of light from eight diffused LEDs to brighten your pictures. The attachment is optimized to work with Lenovo’s new Vibe X2 Pro smartphone, but a Lenovo representative said it works with other Android smartphones via a compatible app. The Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash is expected be available in select markets this April for $30.
