Secret co-founder Chrys Bader is leaving the company, according to a blog post published by CEO David Byttow Thursday night, just one day before Secret’s one year anniversary.

According to the post, which includes a statement attributed to Bader, he is stepping away now that the anonymous messaging company is moving into a phase where he is no longer needed.
“It’s become clear that the next chapter of Secret is beginning in a way [that] will be less about the kind of creation and design that I love, and so it’s time for me to step down, let the team do what they do best, and focus on what I do best,” the statement reads.
The move comes just over a month after Secret unveiled a massive redesign of its app.
