Here's what your aorta looks like doing work from the inside.
The aorta
These images were made with General Electric's Revolution CT imaging system, which — like other CT scanners — essentially takes X-rays of cross-sections of the body. This particular machine uses less radiation than traditional CT scanners and produces detailed images of the body in motion, according to the company's GE Reports site. GE says doctors have been using the machine in difficult-to-diagnose cardiac cases.
