Walmart is adding some tech cred and youthfulness to its board, today announcing the appointment of Instagram co-founder and CEO Kevin Systrom as the company’s 15th director. Systrom joins Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer as a director on Walmart’s board, as the retail giant looks to reimagine its digital shopping experience amid an ongoing threat from Amazon.
