Lyft has acquired Hitch, a small startup working on the hot new trend of app-enabled carpooling, to join forces with its similar Lyft Line feature. Lyft Line, which is now operating in San Francisco and Los Angeles, has already come under state scrutiny for charging individual fares to passengers who share part of a ride.
