States bordering Mexico sell a lot of stuff to Mexico, while the rest generally sell to Canada. The Mississippi-Panama nexus appears to be mostly about petroleum products, and I assume reflects a larger supply chain rather than Panama as a final destination for everything. Connecticut exports a lot of aviation equipment, possibly bound for Airbus in France. Nevada is a big exporter of precious metals, perhaps to the Swiss watch industry.
