Twitch Backtracks (Slightly) on Controversial New Video Policies

After a controversial policy change that CEO Emmett Shear admitted “we screwed up,” Twitch is moving to address two common complaints. In a blog post Thursday night, the videogaming streaming site said it would let users make “highlights” of any length from their previously recorded videos, rather than limiting highlights to two hours — a big sticking point for prominent Twitchers like “speedrunnerCosmo Wright. In addition, when videos are muted for allegedly using unlicensed music, users will be able to appeal the muting via a new button.
