Feds Officially Kick Off Review of AT&T/DirecTV Deal

Federal regulators officially kicked off their review of AT&T’s $48 billion deal to acquire satellite TV company DirecTV Thursday, asking for comments about whether it should approve the deal. Final comments are due in early November, which could allow the Federal Communications Commission time to finish its review by the end of the year. But with holidays and vacations, it’s more likely that the deal review will stretch into early 2015.
