Before it was a joke, #WarOnWhites was a meme for racists

On Monday, Republican Representative Mo Brooks went on Laura Ingraham's radio show and said that Democrats' immigration politics are part of a "war on whites." Naturally, Twitter's been snarking it up a bunch with a #waronwhites hashtag.

What's interesting, though, is that if you go back to before Brooks' statement and the ironic meme you'll find that it was a non-ironic sentiment used by racists of all stripes. For example, you've got your anti-semitic racists:

But you also have your pro-Israel racists:

You've got your "what about white history month" racists:

You've got your "heritage" racists:

And you've even got your straight-up racist racists:

What a country!
