You definitely don’t want to be one of those people who says John Oliver “nailed” something when you’re linking to one of his reported rants, because then you’re just like everyone else.
Also, it’s pretty hard for me to properly assess just how well John Oliver nailed this “Last Week Tonight” bit on journalism and native ads. I’m a journalist who writes about native ads, and some of that journalism will likely end up sitting next to a native ad one day. So my perspective may be simultaneously clouded and conflicted.
Still. Sure seems like he nailed it to me!
