Racism in criminal justice reaches far beyond Ferguson

Six months after the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, a preliminary report from the Justice Department concludes that Ferguson police have displayed a pattern of racial bias in use of force and traffic stops. The findings offer yet another reminder that their criminal justice system is riddled with racial disparities. From encounters with police to prison sentences, Ferguson is another drop in a very full bucket.
