Amazon Fresh, the retail giant’s grocery-delivery arm, just launched in San Diego, making the service now available in major metro areas up and down the state of California and in Seattle. In addition to groceries, Fresh also offers same-day or next-day delivery on a wide range of other Amazon products such as electronics, toys and books. As Re/code reported in May, several grocery industry sources expect Fresh to launch on the east coast later this year.
